My paintings are singing for nature and the environment. The songs have no lyrics, no music but when you look at the paintings, the message and love for Mother Earth are there.” (Fojas, S.C. “A Cry for Mother Earth”, Manila Bulletin, February 6, 2023)

I give more than 100 percent to my artworks. I was once asked how much of me can be seen and reflected in my artworks and I answer them that it’s always more than a hundred percent.” (Lopez, Vince G. “Edgar Doctor: Persisting Passion for the Arts”, Manila Bulletin, December 27, 2010)

“My only goal is to put up a show and present what I have and show my works to society. Artists are the barometers of society; we try to digest what’s happening to the world as artworks play a big role in the society. They serve as the mirror to our world. Ang artist binabalik niya lang ang nakikita niya to the public.

“Art is life and artists cannot be changed. It’s not like some kind of job or occupation that can be changed. It’s something that one just has to do for the rest of his life. I know that I’ll be doing this for the rest of my life.” (“The History Makers of Calabanga”, The Paper, September 4, 2001)
